New gallery is a first on cultural scene – A NEW photography and film gallery which claims to be the first of its kind in the North will open in Leeds next month.
The White Cloth Gallery is to be housed at Aireside House next to Leeds railway station and opens its doors on April 19.
The gallery will open with a hard-hitting exhibition about the lives of London’s gangsters called The Family which will run for seven weeks.
The exhibition features pictures from acclaimed photographer Jocelyn Bain Hogg.
A spokesperson said “The gallery is a pioneering development on the Leeds cultural scene, with a unique vision to forge a socially aware and progressive approach to photography and culture.
“Supporting the artistic community, encouraging creativity and working alongside other local art organisations, White Cloth Gallery aims to aid the region’s development as a go-to destination for art lovers everywhere”.
