Bowie Lyrical Artwork Competition
To celebrate the creativity, innovation and flamboyancy of David Bowie throughout the last 40 years, and in conjunction with the Duffy Archive that will be exhibiting at White Cloth Gallery from 2nd May until 15th August , we are launching a Bowie ‘Lyrical’ Artwork Competition.
To enter the competition please submit artwork as an image based interpretation of one of the sets of lyrics below that have been taken from famous Bowie songs.
Three winning pieces will be chosen by our judging panel and given the opportunity to exhibit at White Cloth Gallery alongside Brian Duffy. The top 20 short listed images will then be shown as a full exhibition in our café area at White Cloth Gallery later in the year.
The competition is free to enter and we are open to submissions from anyone, anywhere and we will be accepting entries produced in any art form. We just request that there is only one submission per person and that the piece is suitable to exhibit at the Gallery.
The judging panel for the competition will be; Sharon Price and Peter Dench (Creative Director’s at WCG), Jack Simpson (Eiger Music Studios), Ian De-Whytell (Crash Records) & Lucy Barker (Beacons Festival).
The winners will be announced on the competition night at WCG on the 20th June 2013.
