They All Say Please
Sharon is exhibiting her photographic project, They all say Please at White Cloth Gallery. The work is centred around creating photographic interpretations of peoples inner most thoughts. After finding prayer cards in a church, she became interested in other peoples’ prayers as a way of learning about our shared inner desires and wishes, this prompted her to go onto online prayer forums where people post their prayers anonymously. She selected and edited some of these prayers down and explored through the medium of photography, how to represent these prayers and wishes visually. Through this process she realised that, at some point in her life, many of these prayers had subconsciously been her own.
